About Parthax
On a mad road trip and one very serious chat between three friends, Pathax Industries started off its life with an idea for a bard based card game where players tried to win over the crowd. The group worked out races, Phil worked out taverns and the world based on his own homebrew, Mark worked out gameplay and finally Mercedes brought it to life with the art work and from there they had no excuse!
Epic Spiel was their first card game, having constant re-writes and playtests until it was ready for a Live Playtest at UKGE in 2024. This playtest had a great response, with players enjoying the artwork and helping with some great feedback that was put to instant use. Now Epic Spiel is a finished card game with a quick and fun game style that lends itself to being an easily transportable game for up to six players.
Off this success, the next game to be made was a small card game inspired by an idea Mercedes had for a society built to protect the dangerous Morphos in Phil's world. This led to S.P.A.M. the Society for the Protection of Ageing Morphos! A quick and fun game in support of the Collegium Monstros in Anesa, where these adorable old monsters run round an enclosure looking for cookies but mixed in the deck are also traps, younglings and distractions that can cause them to lose more cookies than they might find. It's just a fun and simple game for all ages, but it's an amusing idea that really tickled Mercedes. After all who doesn't like to support SPAM?
Now with two games under their belts, the team are working on a third card game and are looking to finally start making some boardgames and skirmish games as well.
